Simon has commenced a common law pupillage under the supervision of Mr Inderjit Thind across civil, family and immigration law.

Following his call to the Bar in 2008 by the Inner Temple, Simon has worked exclusively within the legal profession. Initially he gained useful experience working as a court clerk in the County Court where he had significant exposure to a wide array of family matters, including private law matters involving arrangements for children as well as public law care cases.

He also experienced a diverse array of civil matters, such as anti-social behaviour injunctions, credit hire, personal injury, occupiers’ liability and contractual disputes. He built on this through his work as a County Court advocate where he conducted in excess of 6,000 hearings on behalf of a variety of clients, gaining valuable experience in civil and commercial matters and developing strong relationships with judges on the Midlands Circuit. In particular, prior to commencing pupillage, Simon had a firm foundation in dealing with claims in possession, contract, landlord & tenant, consumer credit, commercial debt recovery, PPI, road traffic accidents, credit hire and insolvency matters.

Outside of his professional life, Simon enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons and likes to follow and play a variety of sports.
